About
Sunnydale is a residential care home in Shropshire that supports adults with Mental Health needs. We provide personalised care pathways tailored to each person’s strengths, interests, and goals. Our home supports up to 10 adults, and we’re all about helping people build on their abilities and dreams.
Our Approach
We’re committed to giving the right level of care for each person’s needs. Using the Recovery Model and 1:1 key worker support, we regularly check in on progress and involve people in shaping their own care plans.
We work alongside individuals to help them develop new skills and set meaningful goals. Our main focus is to empower people to gain independence and take control of their lives. We believe the positive, welcoming environment at Sunnydale plays a big role in improving quality of life and helping people reach their full potential.
Accommodation & Location
Sunnydale has seven large bedrooms on the ground floor and three ensuite rooms upstairs. There’s plenty of communal space too — including a kitchen, dining room, lounge, and gardens at the front and back.
Located in Craven Arms, you’ll find all the essentials nearby — shops, pharmacies, leisure centers, parks, and lots of green spaces to enjoy. The local community hosts events and activities throughout the year, giving plenty of chances to get involved. Public transport makes it easy to explore nearby towns and attractions.
Success Story: Josh’s Journey to Independence
Josh came to Sunnydale in 2019, facing challenges with alcohol, substance use, and a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia. With support from the team, regular 1:1 reviews, and a relapse prevention plan, Josh began to make steady progress.
Through teamwork and tailored enablement plans, Josh worked on everyday skills like cooking, budgeting, and exploring work opportunities. Over time, his determination shone through and he made amazing progress.
In February 2023, Josh took a big step — moving into his own flat in the community. It was a proud moment filled with mixed feelings, but Josh felt ready for this new chapter. The Sunnydale team was thrilled to see how far he’d come and proud to have supported him on his journey.

What People Say
"I came to Sunnydale earlier this year, straight from hospital, feeling really low. From day one, everyone welcomed me like family. The staff were amazing — they never judged me and always stood by me, even when things were tough. Their care and patience helped me feel stronger and more hopeful about my recovery.
I honestly wouldn’t be living independently in my own bungalow now without their support.
Sunnydale — you’re fantastic. Keep doing the great work you do!"
