Llys Afon supports two people with mental health needs and learning disabilities. We recognise that everyone is unique, so we tailor our support to suit each individual’s needs. Llys Afon provides a nurturing environment that promotes both mental and physical well-being. We support people to maintain their identity while helping them regain self-confidence and develop skills to manage their mental health and prevent relapse. With the right support, we believe individuals can achieve greater independence and have more control over their own lives.
Our Approach
Our primary aim is to provide the highest quality care to each person we support and to promote their health and happiness. We offer a warm and homely environment that caters to individual needs and aspirations. Our experience shows that support based on a thorough understanding of mental health needs, combined with a positive, recovery-focused attitude, increases feelings of safety and self-confidence while providing hope for the future.
Llys Afon Recovery Pathway
We understand that recovery is a journey. Using outcome-focused approaches, we support individuals to achieve their personal goals and aspirations. Following the Recovery Model, we guide people through their recovery pathway. The Recovery Star tool helps staff measure and summarise changes in mental health and behaviour. This clear evidence of progress motivates individuals, enhances their skills, and builds confidence by involving them actively in the recovery process.
Accommodation
Llys Afon is a beautiful home comprising two ground-floor flats connected by an adjoining door.

Flat One includes one bedroom with en-suite facilities, a small office, comfortable lounge, dining room, and kitchen.

Flat Two offers a kitchen, a large bedroom with en-suite facilities, plus two additional large bedrooms and a living room.
Situated on the outskirts of Canton, the service is close to bus and train routes and within walking distance of community facilities such as a health centre, shops, parks, a leisure centre, and more.
