About

Welcome to Honeybrook House, a person-centred service supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism. Our intimate setting accommodates up to ten people, ensuring personalised care that focuses on individual needs. With a strong emphasis on skill development and maintenance, our nurturing environment fosters growth and independence.

Our Support

At Honeybrook House, we are committed to empowering each individual to feel confident and fulfilled. With most of the people we support on the Autism spectrum, we prioritise their unique needs and experiences. We nurture self-assurance and facilitate activities that bring joy and satisfaction, helping create lives filled with happiness and purpose.

We promote community integration and, where appropriate, support transitions to supported living arrangements. Our person-centred approach is built on a deep understanding of Autism, with adaptable, personalised support that enables individuals to pursue their goals and aspirations.

Individuals work collaboratively with our staff to create tailored plans reflecting their current desires and future ambitions. Transparent communication and teamwork ensure every person is actively involved in shaping their journey.

Our dedicated team receives ongoing specialised training and onsite induction, providing responsive, proactive support within a relaxed and secure environment. By partnering closely with local professionals and families, we tailor our care to meet each person’s unique needs and enhance their quality of life.

Accommodation

Honeybrook House offers ten spacious rooms, each with ensuite bathrooms to provide privacy and comfort. Individuals enjoy their own space alongside communal areas including a lounge, dining room, and sensory room.

Meal preparation is supported in a person-centred way to promote independence and choice. Outside, a large meadow-like garden with mature trees provides a peaceful setting for relaxation and solitude.

We also feature smaller sensory gardens and swings to offer sensory stimulation and enjoyment. Our accommodation is designed to meet individual needs, ensuring comfort and empowerment for everyone we support.

Location and Transport

Located on the outskirts of Kidderminster, Honeybrook House offers a balance between convenient access to urban amenities and the tranquility of nearby countryside.

Transport is easily available with two company vehicles on-site for outings and appointments. A nearby bus stop connects to Kidderminster main bus station, while the train station lies two miles away, providing further travel options.

The people we support engage in a wide range of community activities, including meals out, cinema trips, bowling, shopping (personal and food), country walks, swimming, train spotting, and picnics. Honeybrook House ensures diverse leisure opportunities that promote social inclusion and enrich lives.

Good News

We understand the importance of meaningful relationships and enriching experiences. For example, Bob moved to Honeybrook from out of county and valued visits from his dad. When his dad’s health declined, making visits difficult, Bob’s team supported him to visit his dad instead—helping him develop coping strategies for the journey and new environment.

This enabled Bob to maintain their bond and enjoy milestones such as going to the pub with his dad for the first time, a touching moment reflecting our person-centred approach.

Honeybrook House offers engaging activities to foster social interaction and creativity. Our regular arts and crafts sessions, in partnership with a local group, provide opportunities for self-expression and community. Themed sessions and outdoor activities in our gardens create a vibrant and inclusive environment. Artwork from these sessions proudly decorates our entrance hall, celebrating creativity and togetherness.
