David Lewis

Hospital Director

David has worked in the Nursing Profession for more than 40 years and has held Senior Manager positions for more than 30 years.  His experience has included clinical, operational, managerial, commissioning and inspecting roles in services which have included acute mental health and rehabilitation, all levels of secure services, women’s services, developmental disabilities and acquired brain injury services.  He is passionate about building teams that deliver the highest standards of care and support whilst ensuring that the patient is central in everything we do.

 

 

 

Victoria Hulström

Deputy Hospital Director

Victoria has dedicated her entire career to health and social care. She is a Learning Disability Nurse motivated by making a positive impact on people’s pathway through care and working with the team to support patients labelled as difficult. Victoria was also a finalist in the National Learning Disabilities and Autism awards in 2017.

 

 

 

Dr Olufemi Oluwatayo

Medical Director

Dr Oluwatayo has extensive experience across the NHS and independent sector. He was previously a Welcome Research fellow and a Lecturer at the University of Manchester where he completed his Masters degree and his Psychiatry Training Programme.  He is passionate about caring for people with Mental Health needs and Autism. 

 

 

 

Gayle Woodcock

Clinical and Quality Lead at Lakeside

Gayle is a Mental Health Nurse with experience of working with adults with Mental Health needs, Learning Disabilities and behaviours of concern.  In addition to nursing she is an Outcomes Star trainer, Positive Behaviour Coach and the lead for the East of England National Recovery and Outcomes Project. Working alongside NHS England and Rethink Mental illness this initiative has ensured the patient involvement and consultation in the development of National policies. Gayle has spoken at various conferences around producing positive outcomes for patients and was a finalist for the Laing & Buisson award for Recovery Pathways and a finalist in the National Learning Disabilities and Autism awards in 2016 and 2017.

 

 

 

Dr Victoria Vallentine

Head of Therapeutic Services and Consultant Clinical Psychologist

Victoria is Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist with experience in working in adult mental health, learning disabilities and developmental disorders.  She has specialist expertise in a number of psychological approaches including; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Systemically informed approaches.  She is registered with the British Psychological Society and the Health Care Professions Council.

 

 

 

Elise Stephen  

Principal Clincal Psychologist

Elise is a Principal Clinical Psychologist with experience working in adult mental health and secure/forensic settings. She is accredited with the Society for Dialectical behavior Therapy UK & Ireland, and is also experienced in using approaches including including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She is registered with the British Psychological Society and the Health Professionals Council.

 

 

Dr Walter Owino  

Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Owino has extensive experience in the field of mental health having worked in both the NHS and the independent health sector where he held several medical director posts.  Dr Owino’s has a special interest in neurodevelopmental disorders developed during his early career as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Learning Disabilities in north London.
